Ponferrada Hospitaleras and Beyond

I’m Brenda, and I’ve hiked the Camino three times, most recently in 2022.  It was in Belarado where I met Karen, who was cycling the Camino.  For the remainder of the journey, our paths would cross. We spent some days together in Leon and became great friends.

We met up again in Finisterre and shared a celebratory lunch.  Since returning home, we’ve gotten together several times and stayed in touch.  And become even better friends!

We started thinking about becoming hospitaleras and volunteering at an alburgue together.  More on what hospitaleras are later.  And now here we are, preparing to leave next week to serve in Ponferrada, Spain, for two weeks in October.  We can hardly wait!!  Thanks for joining us on this journey!
