Good morning from beautiful Madrid! It was a big travel day for both of us yesterday. But we are here safely and starting to acclimate to a nine-hour timeshift from home.
There is one little wrinkle that popped up yesterday. Karen arrived here completely ready for this adventure, as she always is! I thought I was ready, after thoughtfully packing what I would need for this journey. But my suitcase has not yet shown up. Hmmm… My first purchases in Spain have been toothpaste and a toothbrush, and a couple of other items. The airline is searching for the bag. Fingers crossed that they find it today!
In the meantime, we are off to explore this beautiful city. The adventure begins!
