Support along the Camino

For Pilgrims who started their Camino in St. Jean Pied du Port in France, they will have walked nearly 400 miles by the time they get to Ponferrada.  No matter where along the trail Pilgrims start, they are tired after a long day hiking and are looking for some rest, comfort, and support as they begin the last 124-mile push to Santiago.

Thanks to friends Bette and Tom from Washington, we have a symbol of love and support for Pilgrims who need an extra boost or a shot of encouragement as they continue their trek to Santiago.  We look forward to sharing these with Pilgrims staying at the St. Nicolas albergue in Ponferrada.

Thank you, Tom and Bette, for making these for us to share with others on the Camino.  We know they will be greatly appreciated!

We leave on Tuesday to head to Madrid. We have three days to enjoy that beautiful city and get by the inevitable jet lag. Then it’s off to Ponferrada to begin our service at the albergue. More on that later!

When you hear from us again next week, we will be in Madrid, Spain!
